Reeyana Sehgeh (she/her/y'all):

Hi. I’m Reeyana. I’m an Atlanta-based filmmaker, photographer, producer, poet, and Founder of The Archive by Sehgeh, which is my beautifully dramatic way of saying I document life like it’s sacred and stylish at the same time.

My creative origin story? My dad’s photo albums. I used to sit on the floor flipping through them like a tiny curator, studying outfits, laughter, the way people held themselves when they knew they were being remembered. That curiosity turned into a camera. Now it’s a full creative practice.

I turn stories into films. I photograph people like they matter. I produce projects from chaos to clarity. I lead teams. I take ideas that feel scattered and give them structure without killing the magic. It’s a talent.

I also rewatch Supernatural like it’s required viewing. I am deeply committed to time period pieces (corsets, longing stares, slow burns,) except for the blatant racism. Bridgerton, however? Excellent remix. Ten out of ten. No notes.

I keep a mental “museum of failures.” Every missed opportunity. Every awkward pitch. Every season where life said “try again.” I visit it often. Not to be dramatic. To study the exhibit and level up. And yes, guess what? I write poetry too.

I’m the author of Whispers in the Garden, a book about Black girlhood, grief, softness, sensuality, memory, and becoming. It’s layered. It’s tender. It’s a little dangerous. It’s available now on Amazon. Read it here: [https://a.co/d/05zflLmj].

Let’s build something worth keeping.
